Warehouse Engineering Project Management
The completion of any project requires a capable team to manage
project elements through to successful completion. Warehouse
Engineering is totally oriented to engineering and implementing
systems, which integrate material handling, storage/retrieval and
process control. While each project has unique characteristics due
to the level of automation and size of project, all the various
elements are familiar to Warehouse Engineering. All disciplines
required for these projects are available from the Warehouse
Engineering Project Team.
Warehouse Engineering will also help your company acquire any
required permits, interface with contractors and municipal
authorities, maintain job site safety and monitor workmanship.
All phases of the design, manufacture, installation, and testing
will be scheduled and monitored by a Warehouse Engineering Project
Manager who will be assigned to and directly responsible for your
project. The Project Management Department is also responsible for
system training and system acceptance.
A project schedule will be provided for your project. All critical
items scheduled in conjunction with the project will be monitored
and controlled in order to insure the most efficient installation
and operation of the system. The Warehouse Engineering Project
Manager will direct Warehouse Engineering resources to minimize the
impact of problems or changes as required during implementation.
The Warehouse Engineering Project Manager will maintain overall
project status to insure that goals are met. He will hold weekly
status meetings with Warehouse Engineering activity centers to
insure proper interaction and coordination of activities. The result
will then be reported to you so that all tasks are properly
coordinated with your personnel. Exception reports will also be
supplied as required.
During the various phases to completion, Warehouse Engineering will
review construction progress and scheduling, monitor material
deliveries and create "As Built" documents. Finally, Warehouse
Engineering will help coordinate startup efforts, training and other
elements required to close the books.
